Pedro Arboleda is a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Boston office, successfully leading commercial strategy projects since 2001 for leading life sciences and health care firms as they seek new customers.  A recognized expert in developing commercial strategies, Pedro is passionate about the convergence of health, digital cognitive technologies, and companies offering novel solutions that transform business models.  Pedro’s prior work has been published in The Economist magazine Special Reports on Innovation.  Examples of recent projects include:

  • Led engagement for leading medical device corporation that wanted to recalibrate its cardiovascular connected care long-term strategy in order to best position its remote monitoring business for the future, with impact leading to alignment around strategic options, key operational initiatives, and new business models/ partnership opportunities with market disruptors like Verily, Amazon, and Apple.
  • Led project with major medical device firm to maximize sales performance by better aligning sales priorities and commercial IT/ Ops processes, tools, and requirements. Commercial IT/Ops leadership adopted 27 out of 31 recommendations.
  • As a core member of Deloitte’s Precision Wellness team, co-leading efforts to bring together data analytics and behavioral science to address challenges relating to the promotion of health via persistent behavior change and leveraging of connected care solutions
  • Led work with AdvaMed and the heads of business development at the largest med tech firms to create solutions to reverse the decline in early-stage investments in med tech, leading to seven key recommendations, some of which covered digital health opportunities
