Heather Flannery, CEO, Obesity PPM

Heather Flannery is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Obesity PPM, an innovative provider of disease management, population health, research administration, and information technology managed services for health systems in the Americas, and an early adopter of distributed ledger technology. Ms. Flannery has driven business model and technology innovation throughout her 24-year career as an entrepreneur and strategist. Due to her personal experience maintaining a 170 pound weight loss and the resolution of eight obesity related diseases, Ms. Flannery is intrinsically motivated to impact population health through non-communicable disease prevention and treatment. She has consulted in the public sector in context of international development, and brings a global health perspective to her initiatives.  Ms. Flannery is a member of the Board of Directors for cybersecurity firm Hedron Analytics and the non-profit Virginia Obesity Research Institute, is an active participant in HIMSS and IEEE working groups on blockchain and healthcare, is a Fellow of the EP3 Foundation, and produces the open-access “Blockchain in Healthcare” webinar series. Ms. Flannery builds mission-driven organizations aligned by shared values: making measurable societal contributions, creating economically sustainable interventions, and prioritizing diversity and inclusion.
